I truly believe that finding CrossFit saved my life.  While that may sound schmaltzy or like an exaggeration it is just a fact that my body was starting to be old prematurely.  I was having a hard time bending over to pick things off the floor, I felt fat, felt slow and saw my quality of life and ability to keep up diminishing to an embarrassing level.  The functional movement concentration of the CrossFit program combined with constant variation and increasing intensity has literally transformed my body, quality of life and mind set.

My desire is to help you achieve your fitness goals.  I can do this by providing a program, based on the philosophy and methodology of CrossFit as taught by Dr. Greg Glassman.  No matter your current physical condition, age or experience with the various exercises in the CrossFit program, I will teach you the fundamentals, help you develop good technique and design a program that is fun, intense and challenging for you at your level of fitness.

Together we will jump, run, lift, thrust, pull, push, throw, bike, climb, slam, bend and cheer our way to better fitness and better health.

I began my serious athletic pursuits in high school as a multi-sport athlete. I then attended Seattle Pacific University where I continued my track and field career and was a multi-event All-American. Though I loved training hard and enjoyed being surprised at what my body could achieve under quality training, my favorite part about participating in track was the camaraderie and being part of a community of athletes who were all working hard to improve. Now, years later (and three kids later), I have again found this same experience with CrossFit, which I have been doing since February of 2007. I love the physical and mental challenge of CrossFit, and have been surprised and thrilled at what my body has been able to do. More importantly, I am once again part of a community of hard workers (including most of my family and friends) who train together and consistently encourage each other. I have gone through periods of much improvement in my workouts, as well as phases of plateaus, but the creativity of the workouts, the variety of movements, community, and the fun of CrossFit keep me coming back. I enjoy training my three kids in CrossFit Kids, and I love that they are learning the love of sport, strength, flexibility and learning new, unique, and unusual things their bodies can do.
